Extractions

Do you have tooth pain? Thinking it may be time to get a tooth out? We pride ourselves in doing our best to make extractions as painless as possible.

Wisdom Teeth

People have three permanent molars on each side, top and bottom. The last ones to develop are called the wisdom teeth because they tend to grow in at around age 17 to 21, considered to be the age at which people become wiser.

If they grow in properly, they are just as useful as the rest of your molars. However, this is not always the case.

Your wisdom teeth may not have enough room to break through the surface of your gums. Even if they partially emerge, you are at risk for increased bacteria growth in that region. Either way, your dentist will determine the status of your wisdom teeth through x-ray. If extraction is recommended, your dentist will spend time with you explaining the procedure and follow-up care in full.
